l.ours “the bear” inspired by my daughter, Ellie, who is affectionately called bear and my son, Jack, affectionally called bean. Both who have hearts full of collecting and creating.

I’ve always dreamed of starting something of our own, but never quite knew what it would be. Two years ago, after a beautiful beach day, Ellie gave me two beautiful shells she found, both imperfectly, perfect. My shells had been washed around enough in the ocean and had beautiful natural holes in them. One day the idea to put the shells on one of my necklaces came to us. My necklace, worn every single day, is the most complimented piece of jewelry I have.

Jack, our home artist, immediately drew up designs for our logo and every day the two of them come up with the most amazing ideas for l.ours. My husband, BJ, helped me with everything that he knew I didn’t want to deal with so Ellie and I could spend our time creating. It’s a small start, but one that makes us happy together as a family.
